Mesenchymal stromal cells for systemic sclerosis treatment

چکیده
Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare chronic autoimmune disease characterized by vasculopathy, dysregulation of innate and adaptive immune responses, progressive fibrosis. SSc remains an orphan disease, with high morbity mortality in patients. The mesenchymal stromal cells (MSC) demonstrate vitro vivo pro-angiogenic, immuno-suppressive, anti-fibrotic properties appear as promising stem cell therapy type, that may target the key pathological features disease. This review aims to summarize acquired knowledge field :1) MSC definition functional properties, which vary according donor type (allogeneic or autologous), tissue sources (bone marrow, adipose umbilical cord) inflammatory micro-environment recipient; 2) preclinical studies various animal models , showed reduction skin lung fibrosis after infusion; 3) first clinical trials human, safety early efficacy results reported patients currently tested several ongoing trials.

P 125: Treatment of Multiple Sclerosis with Mesenchymal Cells Starfish
Arm grooves of star-fish have mesenchymal stem cells derived from adipose tissue cell. Widespread studies have shown that stem cells derived from adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cell from bone marrow have many similarities in terms of the ability to differentiate into a variety of tissues. Most of the animals live in warm and shallow waters and the waters of this feature is that it is low in d...
متن کاملHuman adipose-derived stromal cells for cell-based therapies in the treatment of systemic sclerosis.
The present study was designed to evaluate the clinical outcome of cell-based therapy with cultured adipose derived stromal cells (ASCs) for the treatment of cutaneous manifestations in patients affected by systemic sclerosis (SSc). ASCs have an extraordinary developmental plasticity, including the ability to undergo multilineage differentiation and self-renewal. Moreover, ASCs can be easily ha...
متن کاملTreatment with Allogenic Mesenchymal Stromal Cells in a Murine Model of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
Objective Pre-clinical and uncontrolled studies in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) showed that mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) have a potential therapeutic role in refractory cases. The optimal therapeutic strategy in these patients remain to be elucidated. Our aim was to test the hypothesis that repeated administrations of 1×106/kg body weight of allogenic MSCs, that is a sig...

متن کاملMagneto-mechanical Stimulation of Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stromal Cells for Chondrogenic Differentiation Studies
Mechanical interaction of cells and their surroundings are prominent in mechanically active tissues such as cartilage. Chondrocytes regulate their growth, matrix synthesis, metabolism, and differentiation in response to mechanical loadings. Cells sense and respond to applied physical forces through mechanosensors such as integrin receptors. Herein, we examine the role of mechanical stimulation ...
